The Science Based Targets Network is a collaboration between non-governmental organisations, business associations and consultancies that aims to provide companies and cities with the guidance, tools and methods needed to set science-based targets for nature. 1

Business relevance
The loss and degradation of nature poses a direct threat to economic and human well-being. More than half of the worlds’ economic output is estimated to be either moderately or highly dependent on nature. Activities that are associated with “business as usual” are driving nature loss and the way businesses operate must change. To enable corporate action, businesses require science-based targets that are measurable, time-bound and aligned with global sustainability objectives. 1
